Kathy Carden Beck, 65, a longtime resident of Creedmoor passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
A native of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Newton Carden and Gay Audrey Morrison. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and a retired administrator in the Duke Medical Center Library at Duke University.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Union Baptist Church, 4024 Old Weaver Trail, Creedmoor, N.C. by Rev. Dan Hill. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 102 Moss Dr. Creedmoor, N.C.
Surviving is her husband of thirty-nine years, Ricky L. Beck of the home; a sister, Barbara Carden of Snow Camp; three brothers, Ronnie Carden of Efland, Mike Carden of Durham and Tommy Carden of Hillsborough. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Pendergraph and Darlene Freeman.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, January 29, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.

Kathy was always sweet, quiet, and friendly - reading out on the porch while at the car show in Pigeon Forge and smiling when we talked in Roxboro - what a fight you have both been through and what a loss for you Ricky - prayers for you and the family

Kathy was one of the nicest, hard working women I have ever known.Though we knew alot of the time she did not feel well, she never complained and did her work with a smile. I missed her lemon cakes when she retired, though she didn't eat much she enjoyed treating us. She loved Ricky with everythimg she had and we could tell he adored her. Even when I visied her in the hospital he showed such patience,love and dedication I have such great memories of the time we had together , I will not forget her. Keeping Ricky in prayer trusting God to comfort him.
